Final Sleepless Week

Well the final week of the quarter has finally arrived. I must admit I have been looking forward to the break for quite a while now. Unfortunately I still have 3 finals to complete and am somewhat struggling to achieve passing grades this quarter 
. As it stands I doubt I'll be getting even one B this quarter (and all C's and D's were not what I planned for) so I'm rather disappointed in myself for letting this happen. The fact that there is a chance that I might fail a class (or two) is really bumming me out and killing my excitement for the coming break, but at this point there is really nothing i can do but try my best on the final exams and pray that I do well.
The only thing I'm really looking forward to in the near future is the camping trip I'm going on with a bunch of my friends this break. We still have to find and reserve the campground, but aside from that we are pretty prepared. I'm especially excited because this will be my first time ever going camping! I've been in Colorado my whole life and never been camping once, so I kinda fail, but at least I'm finally getting a chance. That's pretty much my only plan for this break so I'll have plenty of time for relaxing (which I desperately need!).
It seems like my job has been out to hurt my life lately with too few hours and shitty shift, but at least I'm still making enough to live so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. A little more money in my life would be nice tho, especially with rent and a new quarter of school coming up at practically the same time (I'm gonna have to starve myself to afford the books!).
Well that's pretty much it for this update in my life. I've still been really inactive on DA, and hopefully that will be changing soon, but I give no guarantees until I get my shit in order lol.

No More Summer, School Time Again!

Well friends and fools, I've finally run into the inevitable end of my summer break. 
It really was too short, but at least I didn't get too used to being lazy the way I would have if I had a long summer.
The school schedule doesn't look too difficult this quarter, which means I might actually get a chance for some personal work! And maybe I'll have some time to upload a few things onto my heavily neglected DA page! Woohoo! But on an even happier note, I have finally gotten my website online! I originally built the site for a wed design class I took back in Fall 2009. Dam.. that's a long time ago! Without the help of a talented friend at www.stezieb.net, I probably wouldn't have gotten it up. So yeah, check out my portfolio website at

Onto my personal life! Everything is going good there. I'm back to work finally! Tail bone is fully healed and they are happy to have me back!
My girlfriend has been treating me splendidly as well! Only thing that could be better now is my social life! I feel like I've lost touch with almost all of my friends and I really wanna get that back! But with school and work back in my life, I probably won't have much time for being social. Oh well..
I think that's about it as far as my life goes right now.. Yay for being busy again!

Summer Break! =D

So summer break is finally here! That was one of the roughest quarters I've had since I started at the Art Institute! But at least I passed everything lol. Well it's behind me now so I can focus on making the next 4 or 5 quarters (however many I have left) better.
I got my computer fixed a few weeks before finals, but it wasn't too helpful because I don't have a lot of the programs I need for my homework. But I am finally taking full advantage of the free wireless internet at my apartment building, which is surprisingly quick! lol. Plus I have made a few enhancements to make my workstation even faster so it's freaking awesome right now!
On a less exciting note, I found a way to break my tailbone a couple weeks ago. I was playing basketball and jumped up to catch the rim. I succeeded, but then my figures slipped and I fell directly on my tailbone. Let me tell you, breaking your tailbone sucks hard! I could barely walk the first few days and it hurt to walk for almost two weeks. Now I'm feeling better, but my doctor thinks I need more time to recover so I haven't been able to work for almost three weeks and they won't let me go back for another three weeks. With rent coming up and all the stuff I wanna do over summer break, it is REALLY bad to not be working right now.
So my goals for summer break are as follows:
- Read Last Watch (last book in series I'm reading)
- Enjoy my B-day (June 22nd)
- Do at least one fun thing with my friends (i vote camping! lol)
- Read and learn from a Maya animation book I bought
- Finish a few projects that aren't done (and put them on DA)
- Draw for myself (not for school, just for me)
- Catch up on sleep! (8-10 hours almost every night)
I think I should be able to succeed in all of those goals during my three week break from school, especially since I won't be working. So yeah, that's pretty much all I gotta say.
Oh and to all my Art Institute buddies: ENJOY YOUR BREAK! Hope ya'll keep in touch!
